After playing with the 50s silhouette in the Fall-Winter 2010 collection, Louis Vuitton turned to another decade for inspiration: the 70s. The designer borrowed the long dresses as well as the kitsch patterns and textures: lame, fringes, silk printed with iris flowers, zebras, tigers and giraffes, like no one would have expected. You will also find an elegant, reinterpreted pantsuit, with an ample cleavage and long, straight trousers.
The hairdos also bear a 70s touch, being side slicked. These are combined with glamorous make-up that emphasizes both the eyes and the lips, while keeping the facial skin light and porcelain-like. Speaking of which, note must be made of the Asian influences in the collection: the symbol of the tiger, the tunics and the traditional cut of Asian dresses are the homage that the designer pays to this amazing culture.
